• Hello!

I saw that you were recently enrolled in your courses and want to take this opportunity to welcome you to your courses! Here are some quick tips for success that have helped other students in the past. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me and ask. I look forward to working with you!

    1.   TUTORING! If you need help right away, please go to the Research Center in your portal system. Once in the Research Center, click the globe button at the top of your screen and click the button for 'Learning Lab.' A number of teachers from all subjects can be found there and can relay the message to me. I am available in the Research Center Monday through Friday from 10 am to 12 pm and also by appointment. PLEASE NOTE: Times are in Eastern Standard Time.

    2.    TAKE NOTES ON PAPER! I think that if you keep a piece of paper and pencil near your computer to jot down some of the trickier concepts or vocab, you will avoid some of those small mistakes we can all make. Keep reading! Keep using the charts!

    3.    VIEW RESULTS FROM QUIZZES AND EXAMS! Did you know that you can go back into your previous attempts and see the results of your work? This is also where you will be able to see the feedback left to you by teachers. Pay close attention to these! Adjust your notes so that you are ready for future assessments.

    4.    NOT READY TO TAKE A QUIZ? CLOSE IT! If you aren’t ready to take these quizzes and exams, you can close them without losing your work. Go back into the lesson and review. You might even consider using two pages/tabs in your browser - one for the quiz, one for the lesson.

I hope that these are helpful! Thank you!
