EDUCATION:

Creative Secondary Education, Susquehanna University

Where are you from?

Queens, NY

What brought you to CASA?

My love for the arts is what brought me to CASA. I love the way the school provides students with the independence and tools for college and the real world.

Where did you work and what was your role prior to coming to CASA?

I worked for many different places such as for the John Hopkins Center for talented youth as a teacher assistant and Teach for America as a tutor for reading comprehension. Most recently, I worked for the Salvation Army's SYE and REA program. At REA I worked as a lead facilitator and the go to person for lit camp. For SYE, I worked as a substitute teacher for the pre-k kindergarten readiness class.

What is your connection to the arts? Or, how are you an artist?

My connection to the arts is my love and passion for creative writing.

What do you hope will be your impact on our school community, students, and culture?

I hope with my class I can help foster a community of writers who feel comfortable with their work before read, heard, and published.

What advice do you have for our students?

Never stop writing
