Hello Students, Parents/Guardians, and Family Members,
We are thrilled to begin a new academic year at Capital Area School for the Arts Charter School (CASA). While it may look a bit different this year due to COVID-19, CASA remains one of most unique and rewarding high school experiences for Central Pennsylvania students interested in the arts.
Most exciting this year, is the addition of our brand-new academic wing. With new classrooms, a science lab, and new administrative offices, this expansion will help CASA build on its foundation of providing high-quality, standards-based academic and arts education.
As you can imagine, expanding the physical space is costly. To continue providing CASA students with a 21st century learning experience, we have embarked on a Capital Campaign to raise $1.7 million. The good news is, we have great support from community members, businesses, CASA Foundation board members, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It will take much more to meet our goal and we are asking CASA families to be part of the campaign.
With your help, we can enhance the STEAM education experience provided at CASA. We understand financial concerns and the ability to donate, but every contribution, large or small, goes a long way. Our goal is to reach 100% participation from CASA families!
You may question why your support is needed. In short, it is all about increasing the positive experience for our students. Here are just a few things that the Capital Campaign will fund:
- Upgrading technology, including the move to one-to-one devices for each student
- Supplies and equipment for our art and academic classrooms
- Performance venue rental costs
- Guest artists
- Field trips, including transportation and tickets to shows
- Academic and art integration projects
- College and Career Readiness program activities, including transportation, training programs, and guest speakers
We hope you will join us on our road to making this campaign a success. If we meet our goal of 100% participation from CASA families, we will provide a special event for the students as a thank you for all of their (and your) hard work!
