ACADEMICS

Capital Area School for the Arts Charter School uses a 21st century, hybrid model of teaching and learning while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. Students are taught by experienced, certified, and engaging teachers in a live teaching environment for selected core classes. Other classes are delivered in a virtual environment via the Capital Area Online Learning Association (CAOLA). Lastly, several classes are taught using a hybrid approach comprised of a combination of live teaching and online learning. Students are expected to meet deadlines, complete homework, and engage in lively classroom discussions in all classes.
